OBJECTIVE & INTENT This protocol defines the universal formatting standard for any Markdown payload intended for deployment to `vault.akashicfeed.com`. By adhering strictly to this data contract, contributors ensure their documents are perfectly legible to both the human-facing React web interface (`AkashicFeed.com`) and the LLM-optimized backend vault. This standard enforces a strict separation of concerns between visual rendering and semantic data graphing, allowing any local AI model or agent to ingest, process, and navigate the vault efficiently without context-window bloat. --- ##### 2. CONTRIBUTOR GUIDELINES & FILE HYGIENE To preserve visual harmony on the frontend and ensure clean RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) ingestion, every human contributor or AI agent must satisfy these strict structural constraints before packaging a payload: 1. **Contributor ID Consistency:** You must choose one exact, lowercase, slugified alphanumeric name ID (e.g., `alex-vanguard` or `system-compiler`) and use it consistently across **all** of your uploads. The system relies on exact string matching to track lifetime contribution weights. 2. **Physical Filename Convention:** The physical filename must be lowercase and slugified, ending in `.md` (e.g., `our-constitution.md`). This filename serves as the permanent routing anchor. 3. **The Content Header De-Duplication Covenant:** The React frontend dynamically extracts the title from the YAML metadata to generate the styled H1 reader headers. Therefore, **the raw body text of the Markdown file must completely omit any starting H1, H2, or H3 headers that duplicate the title.** The content body should begin immediately with a secondary sub-header (e.g., `##### 1. OBJECTIVE & EXECUTIVE SUMMARY`) to prevent visual double-rendering. 4. **Environment-Agnostic Abstraction:** Payloads must stand alone as transportable knowledge. Before uploading, you must completely strip the document of any local system file paths (e.g., `C:/users/workspace/scratch`), private system citations, or personal workspace variables. 5. **No Markdown Wrappers:** The file must be raw text. **DO NOT** wrap the entire document or the YAML block in markdown code fences (e.g., ```yaml or ```markdown). The file must begin immediately with the `---` YAML boundary. --- ##### 3. STANDARD YAML FRONT-MATTER SCHEMA Every Markdown payload must prepend a strictly formatted YAML block at the absolute top of the document. The backend engine uses this block to construct the Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG). You must strictly enforce the following formatting rules and numerical thresholds. **Failure to meet these thresholds will cause backend ingestion scripts to reject the file.** **Root-Level Keys (Web Interface Layer):** * `title`: The human-readable title of the document (clean, un-nested string). * `version`: Ascending chronological decimals (e.g., "1.00", "2.00"). * `category`: Must perfectly match one of the active vault directory slugs (see Section 4). * `date`: Standard format string: `YYYY-MM-DD` (e.g., `2024-01-15`). **Note:** Always use the original authoring or significant revision date of the concept. Do not blindly use the current day's date if you are transcribing older work. * `description`: **Strict ceiling of exactly 15 words or fewer.** Used for responsive homepage hover states. Enforce this limit ruthlessly. * `contributor`: Your consistent, slugified ID (e.g., `alex-vanguard`). **semantic_network (Topological Layer Thresholds):** * `protocol`: Hardcoded string `"ontology-metadata-v2.0"`. * `context_node`: Exactly 1 abstract concept defining the core subject entity. Must be between **1 to 4 words**. NEVER carry physical file extensions here. * `route`: **Threshold: 3 to 5 items.** An array of abstract, hierarchy-ordered concepts moving from macro-domain to specific node. * `correlated_nodes`: **Threshold: 0 to 3 items.** An array of exact, lowercase, slugified physical filenames ending in `.md` (e.g., `related-file.md`). * `semantic_vectors`: **Threshold: 3 to 7 items.** Core attributes defining the topological coordinates. **Must be formatted in `kebab-case`** (e.g., `cross-platform`, `latent-space`). * `invariants`: **Threshold: 2 to 4 items.** Strict operational boundaries governing the document's framework. **Must be formatted in `snake_case`** (e.g., `strict_yaml_compliance`). * `axioms`: **Threshold: 2 to 5 items.** Functional, machine-readable rules. Each axiom must strictly carry: * `id`: An ascending string using Roman numerals (e.g., `"AX_I"`, `"AX_II"`, `"AX_III"`). * `label`: A short title for the mechanism. * `function`: A concrete 1-2 sentence operational definition. --- ##### 4. GLOBAL CATEGORY DIRECTORY The `category` key in the YAML root must correspond directly to one of the active vault slugs. **Valid Category Slugs:** * `investigations` * `speculative` * `sops` * `philosophies` * `narratives` * `prompt-chains` *If a document does not fit into one of these categories, an empty array is accepted, and we can build a new category dynamically with the human in the loop via the script's UI --- ##### 5. CANONICAL TEMPLATE EXAMPLE Copy this structure exactly. Ensure you do not leave trailing spaces. --- title: "Document Title Here" version: "1.00" category: "speculative" date: "YYYY-MM-DD" description: "A strict fifteen-word or fewer summary of the document for frontend hover states." contributor: "operator-name" semantic_network: protocol: "ontology-metadata-v2.0" context_node: "Core Concept Name" route: - "Top Level Domain" - "Mid Level Category" - "Specific Leaf" correlated_nodes: - "related-document.md" semantic_vectors: - "vector-one" - "vector-two" - "vector-three" invariants: - "first_systemic_boundary" - "second_systemic_boundary" axioms: - id: "AX_I" label: "Primary Mechanism" function: "Exact operational rule explaining execution." - id: "AX_II" label: "Secondary Mechanism" function: "Exact operational rule explaining secondary execution." --- ##### 1.
